October 2019

The October First Friday Street Fest theme will be Ghost Stories again this year. The main event will be the Ghost Tour ride to the cemetery with a focus on the Ashtabula Great Train Wreck and Bridge Disaster Collapse of 1876. There were 92 fatalities in all including 11 rail cars. You will find the usual food and business vendors, street musicians, car cruise, bike night, and more on Main Ave.


Advanced ticket sales for the ghost tours will be available at Ultimate Appearance Hair Solon. Tickets will be available beginning in early September. Ticket price for adults is $10 and for children $2. Ghost Tour rides will start at 3:30 pm. The final ride will be at 7:30 pm.

Dog Days of Summer Pet Parade is the theme for the August Downtown Ashtabula First Friday Street Fest. There will be the usual street vendors, food trucks, street musicians, car cruise, motorcycle meet, Treasure in the Trunk vendors and more!


But, the main event will be a pet parade in Cornelius Park. So, get you pets ready to compete and win! The Pet Parade and Talent Contest begins at 6:30pm. Make sure you stop at the ADDA booth early to fill out an entry form to be part of the parade. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 2nd, 3-8PM.

All the usual First Friday activities will be happening Sept. 7th. We are inviting all our local growers to bring down your harvest and offer it for sale on the street. If you have extra from your garden, please bring it down to share or sell at the fest. There will be street musicians, the usuals car cruise in Cornelius Park, motorcycle meet, food trucks, and lots of opportunities to meet and make new friends.

The annual "Art in the Alley" Art Show will be happening Sept. 7th, but you can come down to get a preview of the art show at the First Friday street fest on the 6th this year. Don't miss out on seeing great art from local artists.

Join us from 3PM to 8PM on Main Avenue. Everyone is invited to come to Main Ave. and join in on the fun. The emphasis will be on Wellness & Safety. Bring the family down to meet organizations who work to provide a better life for all of us.

There will be food trucks, vendors, and old car enthusiasts joining us on Main Avenue and Cornelius Park for First Friday activities. Mark your calendars for Friday, July 5th 3-8PM.

Youth Art and Street Science Chalk Art For All Ages

Join us Friday, June 7th from 3PM to 8PM on Main Avenue. Everyone is invited to come downtown and show off their artistic capabilities creating chalk art on the sidewalks. Come down to get involved with science projects in the park.

There will be food trucks, vendors, and old car enthusiasts joining us on Main Avenue and Cornelius Park for First Friday activities. Also, we have a new feature- Treasures In The Trunk- come on down and shop!

Downtown Ashtabula will be unveiling a new 1 mile Heart Walk. Exciting new opportunity to get in shape and walk around our wonderful downtown area. Maps and completion stickers will be provided for each participant.

May 2019

The Chocolate Walk will be part of the First Friday Event on May 3rd, 2019 between 1-6PM and continue on May 4th between 11am and 2pm.

Downtown Laughs - Comedy Night fundraiser will take place following First Fridays activities, May 3rd at Martini's Restaurant. Please watch for more information. We have adjusted First Fridays hours to accommodate this one time important event.

We are inviting vendors, and old car enthusiasts to join us on Main Ave. and Cornelius Park for First Friday activities. Please mark your calendars for May 3rd and plan for a great time.
